I lifted 1100 pounds and it ‘nearly killed me’

Eddie Hall has become the first person ever to deadlift half a ton, but nearly immediately lost consciousness after the feat.

Hall crushed the previous record of 465 kg, and that was even his second lift.

The British Brit power lifter muscled his way into the history books thanks to the massive feat after becoming the first man to ever lift that much weight.

Lifting at the World Deadlift Championships in Leeds, England, Hall pulled the half-ton weight quickly off the ground and fought hard at the top for a good lift. I had nose bleeds.

The undisputed strongest man in Britain, Hall has competed at the last four World’s Strongest Man competitions, with his best finish coming in 2015, where he placed fourth overall.

“The pressure on my body was surreal, absolutely surreal and I passed out and had nose bleeds”.

He told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “That almost killed me”. I passed out after.

‘And now I’m the first to deadlift half a ton. It’s not healthy doing something like that.

In March, Hall told the BBC he was aware he may die in his quest to become the World’s Strongest Man. It’s that great feeling, Like the first man on the moon, the first man to run a mile in under four minutes.

Hall had lifted 465kg, which was matched by two other competitors, prompting him to literally raise the bar again.In front of a raucous crowd, Hall was seen taking deep breaths in the lead up to the monumental challenge. And I will keep pushing the limits until that happens.
