While creating awareness about Hilarity for Charity, Seth Rogen has stood before Congress to speak about how Alzheimer’s has affected him.

Luckily, however, his frequent collaborator Rogen – who had his bar mitzvah at 13 and has described his parents as “radical Jewish socialists” – has stepped in to fulfil what he says is a lifelong ambition.
Past performers at Hilarity for Charity have included: Paul Rudd, Bruno Mars, Tenacious D, Patton Oswalt, Aziz Ansari, Judd Apatow, The Backstreet Boys, Samuel L. Jackson, Kevin Hart, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Silverman, and “Weird Al” Yankovic.
Rogen also joked, “And in celebration we’ll also have a mohel and a live bris for James at the event”.
The event benefits the Rogens’ organization, which works to inspire change and raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease among millennials. “It was through this that we felt we weren’t just complaining there was nothing to be done but actively taking steps to do something”.

In a statement, Miller Rogen noted that 5 million Americans are living with the disease and that it is the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S. “I hope we’re able to capture the attention of more young people, and get the disease the type of funding it deserves”.
