Leicester defender Danny Simpson a £4million transfer target for Sam Allardyce’s Sunderland
According to the Metro, Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce is on tap to speak with the FA over the vacant Three Lions manager position, with the association eyeing a permanent appointment of their final selection by the end of the month.

Reports in the Italy suggest that Palace will reignite their interest in the former Newcastle United defender after they were originally beaten to his signature by the Black Cats.
Sunderland are pursuing a number of domestic-based targets, and only yesterday, Allardyce was speaking about his determination to force through his first signing of the summer.
Allardyce, who is on the FA shortlist to be the next England boss, has been given cash to spend to strengthen the squad.
After narrowly avoiding relegation last season, Allardyce knows the importance of improving and strengthening the squad and he is hoping to bring in up to “four” new players before the window shuts.
“Everybody think’s the money will make things easier, but it’s actually made it more hard because we all have the same money”, he added to the club website. A player who cost £10m previous year, will now cost £20m.
“That is the unfortunate market that we are working in, and we are trying to work in that market as shrewdly as possible to get the best players and the best value for money as we can”.
“Hopefully fans will be a little bit patient”.

“I have to admit myself that my patience is wearing thin, but we have to keep trying to bring in those three or four players as quickly as possible”.
