Johnny Depp’s band the Hollywood Vampires canceled its appearance on CBS’ “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” Monday after guitarist Joe Perry collapsed during a concert and was hospitalized the day before, People magazine said. Perry was forced to leave the stage early during a Coney Island, N.Y. concert by the Vampires, who also count Alice Cooper and actor / guitarist Johnny Depp among their ranks.

He was in stable condition after being taken to Coney Island Hospital, according to WPIX-TV.
Cooper said on Twitter hours later that Perry “is stable right now, with family & is under the best care”.
Joe Perry collapsed just off the stage during a performance in NY on Sunday night and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
A video posted on social media by a fan showed Perry slow down and sit on the edge of the drum set as Cooper leads the band in a cover of Spirit s 1969 song “I Got a Line on You”. However, he eventually walked backstage where he reportedly collapsed and was rushed to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
Hollywood Vampires are in the midst of a USA tour and were scheduled to appear tonight on CBS’ “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”.
Hollywood Vampires vocalist Alice Cooper addressed the situation during the show, telling the crowd, “If you notice, one of our brothers is not onstage with us, he was very sick before show”.
“Thanks to all of the fans reaching out and asking about Joe”, read a message late Sunday on Perry’s Twitter page.

Members of the super group Hollywood Vampires are learning they are mere mortals. “He is stable right now, with family & is under the best care”, the Hollywood Vampires vocalist, 68, tweeted Sunday night. “Here’s hoping he’s back on stage soon doing what he loves to do!”
