Giuliani continues sharp criticism of Black Lives Matter
“If you want to deal with this on the black side, you’ve got to teach your children to be respectful to the police and you’ve got to teach your children that the real danger to them is not the police, the real danger to them – 99 out of 100 times – are other black kids who are going to kill them”.

Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani attacked Black Lives Matter as racist and anti-American on CBS’ “Face the Nation”.
Giuliani’s remarks about the Black Lives Matter movement come after 11 police officers were shot, five of whom died, during a demonstration in Dallas against police shootings of black men, in particular Philandro Castile in St. Paul, Minn., and Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, La., who died at the hands of the police last week.
Giuliani added: “So if you want to protect black lives, then you’ve got to protect black lives, not just against police, which happens rarely … and which happens every 14 hours in Chicago”.
“I’ll endorse, but I’m not a part of the campaign”, Giuliani told CNN’s Chris Cuomo on “New Day”. Giuliani blasted the activist movement during appearances on Fox News Sunday and today.
Police say they stopped Lara, who is white, after spotting him at the protest with his face covered and a bag slung over his shoulder.
“I saved more black lives than anyone in the history of the city”, Giuliani claimed.
Both the mayor and the commissioner have been calling for mutual respect between police officers and protesters.
He said: “It’s inherently racist because, number one, it divides us”. I took over the city with 1,924 murders; I gave it to Mayor Bloomberg with 500-plus murders. “I don’t see what Black Lives Matter is doing for blacks other than isolating them”. “It’s disappointing. It shows that he’s out of touch with the current pulse of where our country’s at”.
“It is better for the American people and certainly the people of New York City that Giuliani is no longer a public official”.

Continuing his critique of the network’s choice to feature the former mayor, O’Connor wrote, “I do not actually think he should be banned or barred from speaking publicly; however, I do think that his perennial appearances on cable news shows is an indictment of the networks’ understanding of these issues”.
