Key commends Australian PM Turnbull
Earlier today, Opposition Leader Bill Shorten phoned Turnbull to concede defeat and congratulate him.

But Mr Turnbull has won the support of three independent MPs on budget matters and on votes of no confidence, paving the way for him to form a minority government if he does not win 76 seats.
After an eight-week long election campaign, Australia finally received closure as Opposition Leader Bill Shorten conceded defeat to Prime Minister and Coalition Leader Malcolm Turnbull over the weekend.
But it is not yet known if the coalition will win enough seats in the House of Representatives to form a majority government or whether the country will have a hung parliament. If that happens, Turnbull’s coalition will forge an alliance with independent and minor party lawmakers to form a minority government.
“Every member of the House and the Senate deserves respect because they have been elected by the Australian people”.
“Whoever said that if they did really say it they should put their name to things like that because it sounds very courageous and chest beating when you say it anonymously but I’d love a person who says things like that to actually put their name to it because without their name, it’s just cowardice obviously”, Mr Pyne told the ABC in response.
“I have to say on a family note, when Bill called me I had my granddaughter Isla on my left hip, so she was a one-year-old witness to history”, the PM said.
He said that his Labor party would work with the coalition “where there is common ground”. The agency said Australia needs “more forceful fiscal policy decisions” to reign in debt and believes such tough measures could be postponed by the new Parliament.
Prime Minister John Key has tonight congratulated Malcolm Turnbull on forming an Australian Government.
“I hope for our nation’s sake the coalition does a good job; I hope they run a good government”.
The tight election defied Mr. Turnbull’s call for stability in the aftermath of last month’s Brexit vote, which sent shockwaves throughout the globe. “We have gone through this election with fiercely fought arguments, issues of policy, issues of principle and we have done so peacefully and it’s something we should celebrate”.
“I am proud Labour is back and that Labour is united”, he said.
As he enjoyed an early honeymoon in polls, he was seen as the conservative who could win over swinging left-leaning voters while at the same time implement the economic agenda needed to spur growth.
