Prison Break: FOX Orders Sequel Event Series
The new Prison Break is still in early development stages, but Newman and Walden seemed confident that the series would be picked up once the 10-episode arcs were mapped out.

The network also confirmed that the series’ original stars, Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller, will both return. Chairman of the Fox Television Group, Gary Newman, hinted that iconic characters would be returning but didn’t name names.
Prison Break creator/executive producer Paul Scheuring is writing the pilot episode already.
One question is how Miller’s Michael is back – since he, you know, died in the wrap-up movie “Prison Break: The Final Break“. Fox executives have said Netflix reintroduced the show to a younger audience, resulting in several adoring Tumblrs devoted to retelling its story, largely through GIFs.
And when network officials finally saw the show for themselves, they realized Knock Knock “was missing some of that Fox DNA”, said Newman. It picks the figures up many years after they were quit by us within the show’s last period. “This is just one of those shows, notwithstanding it being off the air 5 or 6 years, it generates buzz and enthusiasm especially online”.
‘I would describe it as a bit of a sequel, ‘ Dana told reporters at the summer TCA gathering in Beverly Hills, California.
Six years after completing its initial run on FOX, “Prison Break” is set to return!
We’ll keep our ear to the ground for further details, but did Prison Break deserve another sentence?
“There’s so much hard work to be done, but we do feel great about where we are now”, said Walden.

Given the split opinions, Walden clarified the status of The Final Break in the new series in a follow-up session after the panel. In fact, they plan to have a logical explanation as to why the character is still alive and wandering around the globe.
