Details are beginning to emerge about Draymond Green’s early Sunday arrest in East Lansing.
It appears that Draymond Green was freed on bond ($200 cash, which was received on Monday, July 11).
Green now has 10 days to return to East Lansing for arraignment and you have to wonder how this will affect his status in the Olympics. He attended and played for the Michigan State Spartans, located in East Lansing.
“We are aware of news involving Draymond Green in MI over the weekend”, the Warriors said in a statement. The Warriors released a statement to the press basically saying, “We heard about the incident, and we’re looking into it”. However, the details of Greens arrest are under wraps for some reason, but apparently he’s already been released, according to MLive.
Early Monday, police had said only that a “current National Basketball Association player” had been arrested, declining to give a name. “That’s all we’re confirming right now”. Other reports, including from the San Francisco Chroncile, say Green slapped a fan who taunted him.
FOX 2 obtained a copy of charges filed against Green in District Court in East Lansing that shows Green is charged with assault and battery.
He has recorded 38 tackles, three pass breakups and three fumble recoveries during the 38 games he has played for Michigan State during his career.
Green helped Golden State come within a game of repeating as NBA champions last month after helping the franchise win a league-record 73 games and being named an NBA All-Star for the first time.
“Anything that Draymond Green do would be a surprise if it’s anything wrong”, Tucker said. He missed Game 5 of the Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers for reaching the flagrant foul limit in the postseason.

Green this past season for the Warriors averaged almost 35 minutes per contest, averaged 14.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.4 blocks per game.
