Federal Bureau of Investigation interviews Hillary Clinton for 3 hours on email server row
The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee said that she was “eager” to meet with officials handling the case, and said that she was pleased to “assist the department in bringing its review to a conclusion”.

The interview at FBI headquarters in Washington followed a week of intense public focus on the investigation and on the question of Clinton’s viability as a presidential candidate, which her campaign has tried for months to downplay as a distraction.
Ms Clinton has been under fire over her use of a private email account and homebrew server during her time as US Secretary of State.
In a Saturday interview with MSNBC’s Chuck Todd, Clinton refused to comment on the still ongoing investigation into her private email use.
Critics say her private email breached rules about protecting classified documents from cyber attack and may have amounted to a crime. It took place four weeks before the Democratic Party convention is expected to formally nominate Clinton as its candidate for the 8 November presidential election. “What she did was wrong! They are independent”, Lynch said at the Aspen Ideas Festival in Colorado.
In an apparent move to quell such concerns, Lynch said on Friday that she “fully” expected herself to accept recommendation by FBI investigators on whether to bring charges related to Hillary Clinton’s personal email setup.
Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, couldn’t agree more.
“It is impossible for the Federal Bureau of Investigation not to recommend criminal charges against Hillary Clinton. What Bill did was stupid!”
“Hindsight is 20/20”, Clinton said.
The interview’s timing suggests the U.S. Department of Justice is nearing the end of its investigation.
Still, she told an audience in Colorado on Friday if she had it to do over, she would not have met privately with Clinton and regretted the “shadow” she cast over the FBI’s investigation.
“Look, I think both of them wish their airplanes had never come anywhere near each other”, Schiff, a member of the House Intelligence Committee and the Benghazi Committee, said on CBS’ “Face the Nation”.
Clinton did imply that the entire controversy surrounding her husband’s meeting with Attorney General Loretta Lynch was much ado about nothing.

Clinton did not cooperate with a State Department inspector general’s audit of her email practices that concluded she had failed to comply with agency policies on record keeping.
