Sultan enters 100 crore club in three days
Sultan has also already become the top Bollywood film of the year in the market, handily passing Airlift which released in January and went on to gross 129 crore. Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma are the main leads and they played the role of a wrestler.

Since the launch of action film Bodyguard in 2011, Salman Khan has built a close invincible dominance over the Eidul Fitr weekends. Ali Abbas Zafar also directed Gunday, Meri Brother ki Dulhan.
The movie has made created several new records and never seen before bodies in India. When the owner of a dying MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) championship decides to get Sultan back to revive the league, the wrestler is pulled out of retirement. This movie music is composed by Vishal-Shekhar.
During a group media interaction last week, Salman said that he “felt like a raped woman” after shooting for a gruelling wrestling sequence for “Sultan”. Later it became his passion to win awards.
Earlier, with a box office figure of Rs 105 crore in three days, Sultan had beaten the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh’s Fan which had collected Rs 85 crore at the box office.
The film has broken the record of highest opening weekend collections and is eying to possibly shatter most records in all aspects. The next day on Friday it collected 31.66 crores and on Saturday collections are 37.10 crores and totally until Saturday it collected 142.62 crores.
Salman Khan has not disappointed so far, with most of his movies such as “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo”, “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, “Jai Ho”, “Kick” and “Dabangg” all grossing more than 100 crores or 10 billion each, at the box office. This brings Sultan’s Eid Al Fitr gross in the range of Rs110 million, almost Rs35.5 million more than the second best JPNA. As this will be the first weekend the collections will be huge.
