Brandon Marshall: I was the only one to hold Jay Cutler accountable

The Bears have said there is no timetable for when he will be taken off the physically unable to perform list, however he is expected to be ready for the season-opener against the Packers. They may not have been besties during their time together in the Windy City, but they made the playoffs in 2010 and Cutler had a career best TD-to-INT ratio (13 to 7 in 10 games) the following season, despite often playing with inferior talent. After we left, they started giving the offense a little attention and rightfully so. At least 37 touchdowns. Denver led the NFL in scoring and total offense the last two years. That 2013 season Manning threw for 5,477 yards. “He is among the most-hit quarterbacks”. A cause that could be effective for the Bears in 2015.

In a recent interview with ESPN about being one of the veterans on this Bears team, Cutler made some of the best “Get off my lawn” statements that you could possibly imagine. Can’t blame you.

Walsh loves the Fox and Vic Fangio (defensive coordinator) hires and feels those two men are leaders and have energized the city of Chicago to believe the defense can turn it around. He’s arguably the best quarterback ever to play the game. “That is sad. I don’t think there is anybody in the league that had more chemistry than us”.

Jay Cutler finally did it: He lost the benefit of the doubt.

Marshall and Cutler each entered the league in 2006 with the and later reunited in Chicago in 2012. “His ability to communicate with his teammates. He’s farther ahead than everybody else”. We’ll Gase stopped short of saying that.

“Will absolutely makes things a lot easier on me”, Gase said. The time was then for us to take advantage of that. “We can’t walk out here and just think we’re going to rip them apart because it’s going to be a challenge play in and play out”. “Right now I don’t know”.

“You kind of have to get in their world a little bit and get to know them”, Cutler said. “They weren’t going to accept their jobs unless I came too”.

Gase’s offensive intelligence and ability to create favorable match-ups with formations figures to help Cutler. There’s no doubt that Wilson should cement the number four position as long as he is able to understand the new offense.

“There’s times where he looks unstoppable”, Gase said.

Marshall: “Yeah, you were right”.

But once again it’s a new offense, set of plays and formations that Cutler must learn. “We’re not in games or anything, but in practice it’s been something that Coach Gase and the offensive staff have stressed – ball security”, Fox said.

So how is it coming along? Cutler has experience with new coordinators, Long said, but there’s more to it than that. “He’s somebody that can really break it down for you and put it in layman’s terms”.

One difference, however, is that Gase is not setting any expectations for Cutler.
