Qua Iboe is Nigeria’s largest crude oil stream and exports usually amount to more than 300,000 barrels per day.

On Monday, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) gave the federal government two weeks to begin dialogue in a bid to quell agitations in the Niger Delta region. “This lack of political space is eloquently expressed in the political marginalisation being suffered especially by the Ijaw people of Edo State and those in the three Warri Local Government Areas of Delta State and Ondo State”, the statement added.
