Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday held a high-level meeting with Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval and others on the Kashmir situation, an official source said. They were expected to reach Jammu by the evening, he said, adding that all assistance was being extended to fliers as well.
The Governor reiterated his direction to the CEO to maintain sustained contact with the local administration, the State Police and the Camp Directors of all Yatra Camps to see that the maximum possible number of pilgrims was enabled to undertake the pilgrimage. There is no information available. “We want to leave for Jammu but do not know how”, he said. He appealed to government to make adequate arrangements for their security, food and shelter. “A batch of 3500 pilgrims left from Bagwatinagar base camp for Baltal and Pahalgam”, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Simrandeep Singh said.
Leaders belonging to different political parties too had left no opportunity to corner the alliance government by organising street protests against the alliance government in Jammu.
Mankotia said the state government had released 634 stone pelters three days ago in the Valley which is root cause of stone pelting on Amarnath Yatris.

“What I can understand is that they must have been tricked by the cab drivers there”.
