Five revelers gored in harrowing edition of Spain’s Pamplona bull run
Spanish medical officials say four people have suffered bruises but no one was gored in the fifth running of the bulls at Pamplona’s San Fermin festival.

Two people were also gored on Sunday on the fourth day of the San Fermin festival in northern Spain, where bulls chase red-scarved runners through the streets.
The run on Tuesday featured specially-bred bulls from the Victoriano de Rio ranch and the 875-metre dash from pen to Pamplona bull ring lasted just 2 minutes 13 seconds, the fastest so far this year. The bull fight, as well as bull run, are very risky and unsafe activities but every year people come to Pamplona to take part in the running.
It involves religious processions and all-night partying in addition to the hair-raising daily bull runs that have made it famous.
Navarra Hospital Dr. Jon Ariceta said four people were taken to city hospitals with contusions.
In the nationally-televised runs, daredevils test their speed and bravery by racing with six fighting bulls and accompanying steer along a 930-yard (850-meter) street course to the city’s bullring.

Till date, 15 people have been reported dead during the festival. The bulls then face matadors and nearly certain death in afternoon bullfights.
