Taylor Swift: Forbes Top Paid Celebrity; Rush Limbaugh at 10

It’s no surprise Tom Hiddleston has been catching rides in Taylor Swift’s vehicle and private jet – the singer is, unsurprisingly, the top celebrity earner of 2016, according to CelebrityInsider.org.

This year Taylor Swift has doubled her earning which was around $80 million last year!

Aside from sales of her fourth album “1989” released in 2014 and her subsequent seven singles, she’s had several product endorsements such as Diet Coke, Keds, Apple, Target and Subway, and she’s also got her own perfume line the fourth fragrance of which was “Incredible Things”. This year she earned $51 million to land at No. 42 on FORBES’ Celebrity 100 list; 40% of her yearly paycheck came from the game.

And, of course, Swift couldn’t leave without a few selfies.

It’s the year of the Swift it seems and it keeps getting better and better. I thought that given our obsession with every aspect of the lives of female celebrities – from what they’re eating, to where they holiday, the size of their breasts and how they parent – that they’d at least be taking home more money at the end of the week for their efforts.

The CNN report also makes a conjecture that if the celebrity singer had stayed with her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris, she could have topped the list of top earning celebrity 100 couple as well by dislodging the current winners Beyonce and Jay-Z. There has been no news about Taylor Swift’s new album, but a year ago Taylor Swift’s tour earned her more than $200.0 million. All that matters though is that she’s almost tripled her $80 million from previous year. After all, hard work really pays off and in her case it is evident, because ranking top on Forbes’ list is no joke.
