Over 100 Arrested in Minnesota Protests
The other video was shot by Castile’s girlfriend, Diamond Reynolds, who sat in a auto with the dying victim.

Castile was shot multiple times while in his auto around 9 p.m. on July 6 in Falcon Heights. It was a contrast to their approach at protests outside the governor’s mansion in the wake of motorist Philando Castile’s police shooting death Wednesday in the suburb of Falcon Heights.
Demonstrators in St. Paul began protesting Saturday in response to recent deaths associated with police encounters and police brutality.
The headline “man shot and killed by police officers” has been all over the news lately.
Jeronimo Yanez and Joseph Kauser were identified as the two St. Anthony police officers involved in the shooting; Yanez is the officer who shot Castile.
By the end of the night, 102 protesters were arrested and 21 officers were injured, officials said. Sterling’s and Castile’s families denounced the attack on the Dallas officers.
Castile’s mother, Valerie Castile, reportedly told CNN, “I think he was just black in the wrong place”.
A spokesman for the BCA declined to comment on Kelly’s remarks due to the ongoing investigation.
Court records show it was at least the 32nd time Castile had been pulled over in the Minneapolis-St.
Mostly, the St. Paul public schools cafeteria supervisor was dogged by repeated charges of “no proof of insurance”, going back to 2002 when he still had his learner’s permit, and driving after suspension and, later, revocation of his license.
Responding to the shootings of police in a July 8 statement, the Black Lives Matter Network said: “The Black Lives Matter Network advocates for dignity, justice, and respect”. That incident was also caught on video. Martin said he was trying to move the crowd along and keep the peace.
Protests in St. Paul follow nationwide rallies that have engulfed the States, with 100 more arrests made nationwide on Friday.
In the video she streamed on Facebook Live, Reynolds describes being pulled over for what the officer told her was a “busted tail light”. The video shows her in a vehicle next to a bloodied Castile slumped in a seat.
In the emotional video, Castile is bloodied, moaning and struggling to stay alive while Reynolds says, “stay with me”. “We told him. He told him”, Reynolds said. Yanez has been placed on paid administrative leave.
Yanez’s position with the 23-member department was his first in law enforcement, after jobs in security and doing contract immigration compliance work, Kelly said.
The bureau did not give the officers’ races. According to Reynolds, the police officer, whose name is yet to be released, asked Castile for his identification after a traffic stop for a broken taillight. “Officer Yanez radioed a request for an ambulance”.

“Things hanging from the rearview mirror, a crack in your windshield that doesn’t obscure your view, a faulty turn signal: There are so many traffic laws on the books that if you cited everyone for all of them, you would write a thousand more tickets a day”, Martin said. “He’s very saddened about the loss to Philando’s family and recognizes the tragedy of the whole event”.
