David Morgan, dubbed ‘Chilli Bean, ‘ allegedly opened fire on a worker at the insane Horse club in Rock Hill at around 2.15am Tuesday after getting thrown out of the establishment for sitting on the stage. Morgan missed most of those came, however, having spent several years in prison on charges ranging from trespassing to assault and battery to burglary.
The victim told police he saw Morgan standing by a wall near the back of the club around 2:15 a.m. and that’s when Morgan fired several shots at him.
Morgan has also been charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime and is now in custody awaiting a bond hearing.
After the incident, Morgan was at Piedmont Medical Center undergoing treatment for a gunshot wound to the shoulder with police picked him up.
If convicted, Morgan could receive as long as a 30-year prison sentence. Knee surgery ended his rookie season early and he has yet to reach full health, though the team is hopeful he will practice in a couple of weeks. Clowney is scheduled to come off of that list and be activated August 17, according to Texans coach Bill O’Brien.
