A man and woman have been killed in a shooting at Drake’s OVO festival afterparty in Toronto, and three others have been hospitalized in critical condition.

According to Toronto Police Superintendent Frank Bergen, the shootout occurred just before 3:30 a.m.at the official OVO Fest afterparty.
Police are investigating other shootings in the area that are also believed to be linked to the violence at Drake’s after-party at Muzik.
“We also have three (victims) that have gone to different hospitals with various injuries”, Bergen said to reporters gathered at the scene.
Drake was hosting the party at Musik Nightclub to wrap up his annual OVO Fest when the shootings occurred.
In a tweet, Crime Stoppers called on the Toronto-born artist for a meeting and wrote: “we need your voice to help stop the violence in Toronto”, signing off with the hashtag #NoMoreGuns.
It’s not clear whether Drake was in the club at the time of the shooting.
Ariela Navarro-Fenoy, 26, was found with gunshot wounds near Dufferin Gate and died in hospital, while 23-year-old Duvel Hibbert was found dead on a patio at the club.
Homicide is carrying on the investigation with the assistance of others within the police service. Last year, one person was injured from gunfire at the festivities.
Police have created a website for witnesses to post images or video related to the shootings.
Moreira said the victims were a man and woman in their early to mid-20s.
Many nearby streets outside the club are closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
It wasn’t clear how many shooters were involved, or whether anyone was taken into custody.
“Uniformed officers have the area cordoned off because it is a very large scene”.

“This was a brazen large-scale ongoing firearm incident where our officers [and] members of the public were directly in the line of fire”.
