Agent for Liverpool flop says no transfer deal in place
The asking price, coupled with a multi-million pound wage deal, is proving a stretch too far for both London clubs and unless Liverpool lower their valuation, Benteke could yet remain a Liverpool player next season.

Liverpool striker Christian Benteke was expected to leave the club in the summer for either Crystal Palace or West Ham United.
According to Sky Sports, Benteke’s representative, Kismet Eris, has told them there is “nothing” in the reports claiming his client is on the brink of leaving the Reds.
Benteke, who has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace, has just returned from holiday – but still has more time off before he’s due to return to Liverpool.
West Ham chairman David Sullivan thinks the transfer market has gone barmy, and has used Christian Benteke as an example of this, the Mirror reports.
But he also admitted in June that he might have to consider his future and it would “be hard to stay” if he was not in Klopp’s plans.

The 25 year old moved from Aston Villa only a season ago and while he was welcomed with a lot of expectations, the striker has majorly disappointed the fans and the Liverpool manager. His poor form through the course of the 2015-16 campaign and an apparent inability to keep up with Klopp’s brand of football has suggested Liverpool could do away with the Belgian this summer.
