Conditions remain hot and humid for most of the week
While most areas are expected to remain dry Tuesday, NBC 5 weather models show a slight possibility for storms in the early afternoon in up to 30 percent of the area, moving west to east. By Wednesday, the threat for storms increases.

Highs will range from the low 80s along the Shore to the upper 80s in parts of interior New Jersey. The humidity will remain comfortable with dew point values in the 50s. Humidity returns with a vengeance on Wednesday and Thursday.
The 90 degree heat will likely continue into the weekend. Skies will be mostly sunny with a few clouds and a chance of pop-up showers during the afternoon.
While it’ll be a partly sunny morning across north and Central Jersey, expect a cloudy day in South Jersey. And temps exceeding 90 degrees are targeted for the region through the remainder of July. With high heat and humidity still present, an approaching cold front will provide the necessary lift to create showers and thunderstorms.
Citing the combination of high temperatures and humidity, the National Weather Service issued a “hazardous weather outlook” for Thursday, saying conditions could be “dangerous”.
Saturday will be increasingly dry and increasingly sunny.

Sunday and Monday were in the mid-80s, but with noticeably lower humidity than last week.
