Jeb Bush: People Will ‘Feel Betrayed’ by Trump
While Bush was roundly defeated in the Republican primary when he ran against Trump, the former Governor of Florida is still throwing verbal punches at his former opponent.

Former GOP candidate Jeb Bush said Monday night he won’t be voting in this fall’s presidential election for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, and revealed some continuing bitterness toward Trump, including accusing Pope Francis of “intervening in American politics”. None of that is…this is all like a…alternative universe that he created. “It’s a digital wall”, he said, clarifying that he did not believe a physical wall would ever actually be built, adding “I know you can’t do that”.
“No, no, I’m not blaming”, Bush said with a laugh. “The reality is, that’s not going to happen”.
“People are going to be deeply frustrated and the divides will grow in our country”, Bush said. Beyond that, he had a grim assessment of the presumptive Republican nominee, should he be elected. “And kudos for him for kind of creating the environment and then manipulating the environment to his effect”.
But conservatism as a political and governing philosophy as understood by the New England moderate, WASP-ish nature of the Bush family? He called it “heartbreaking” that people will feel so let down by Donald Trump, reports Talking Points Memo. At his weakest, he hasn’t been almost as weak as the rest of a field that included 16 different candidates. That is most certainly dead, and its death is likely not temporary.
In a statement announcing his endorsement, Bush said he plans on “actively campaigning” for the first-term lawmaker, as he faces the man who replaced Bush in the Florida Governor’s Mansion, Charlie Crist, who is now a registered Democrat.

Former contender for the Republican nomination Jeb Bush has appeared to blame Pope Francis for the extraordinary rise of Donald Trump. So sad that he won’t attend the GOP convention in Cleveland next week. Both his father, George H.W. Bush, and his brother, George W. Bush, were failures as President and card carrying members of the Republican Party establishment. “He wanted to be president of the United States”.
