Paterno told about Sandusky sexually abusing boys in 1976: deposition
Of course, with Paterno, the taint is far worse when you have an allegation that Paterno responded to the 14-year-old by saying, “I don’t want to hear about any of that stuff”.

The order also cited 1987 and 1988 references to unnamed assistant coaches witnessing the contact between Sandusky and unidentified children and a 1988 case that allegedly was referred to Penn State’s athletic director.
McQueary said Bradley told him he’d been approached by someone in the ’80s who saw Sandusky “doing something to a boy” and in the ’90s former assistant coach Greg Schiano saw Sandusky in the shower with a boy. He tweeted Tuesday that he “never saw any abuse, nor had reason to suspect any abuse, during my time at Penn State”.
State over sex assault claims involving ex-assistant coach Jerry Sandusky says the payments of as much as $5.5 million appeared high to “extremely high”. Sandusky was ultimately convicted on 45 counts in June 2012 and is serving 30 to 60 years in prison.
After leaving Penn State, Schiano coached at Rutgers and with the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers before coming to Ohio State. According to PennLive.com, Pennsylvania Manufacturers Association Insurance Co. has claimed in court that Penn State had a duty to inform it of incidents that could result in liability exposure. Penn State settled with 32 victims, paying them almost $93 million. And as the Centre Daily Times reports, a third Sandusky-related court case might eventually uncover more information about abuse claims settled by Penn State.
A former Penn State assistant coach testified a year ago he was told Schiano had witnessed Sandusky “doing something to a boy in the shower” when Schiano was an assistant coach at Penn State in the early 1990s, according to the Associated Press.
In the proceedings, a lawyer asked a man identified as John Doe 101, “Would any of the other coaches bring young men back. and shower with them?”
McQueary’s 2015 deposition was unsealed Tuesday along with several other court documents, including a Sandusky accuser’s testimony that he told Joe Paterno in 1976 he was abused by Sandusky.
Before his death, Paterno said he first learned of abuse allegations against Sandusky in 1998.
“Because of the situation being what it is, I’m not even going to get into it”, Schiano said at the time.

Because Doe 150’s testimony came in a civil suit against the university, he was not cross-examined by the Paterno family. He can’t verify that story, however, as he died in July 2012, days after the Freeh report was released and days before the NCAA leveled historic sanctions on Penn State. “Some individuals deny the claims, and others are unable to defend themselves”. Once a steadying presence for a program rocked by the unthinkable, Bradley has now become yet another Penn State employee with documented knowledge of Sandusky’s actions well before his eventual arrest.
