The Plymouth-born businessman lived on the island for most of his life and ran a telecommunications company.
A statement from the Isle of Man Constabulary said that the coroner found that Stuart died of natural causes.
His most memorable quotes included “Everything I touch turns to sold” and “I’m Stuart Baggs ‘The Brand” – I’ve got a certain type of charisma.’.
Mr Baggs was the youngest ever candidate on the show when he appeared aged 21 and said he had started his business career selling yo-yos in the playground.
“We extend our thoughts to the family at this sad time and on their behalf I would request that they are now left in peace to grieve”.
He was knocked out at the interview stage of the sixth series, which was won by Stella English.
She wrote on Facebook: “Today my dearest brother Stuart Baggs gained his wings”.
Alan Sugar, presenter of the contest for aspiring entrepreneurs, described Baggs’s death as “terrible” and heralded him as one of the show’s standout characters.
The news of what caused his tragic passing comes after friends, family and Apprentice fans expressed their shock at his loss.
It was just in July that Stuart said in an interview with an Isle of Man newspaper: “I work, as my hair will tell you, at least 18 hours a day”.
