Sanders endorses Clinton nomination at joint campaign rally

The Democratic hopeful for the White House, Hillary Clinton, said Tuesday that together with former rival Bernie Sanders, she will beat Republican candidate Donald Trump and will build a new future for the United States.

In recent days, Clinton announced new policies on higher education and health care in a nod to Sanders’ campaign.

Eventually, Clinton took the stage and said, “We are joining forces to defeat Donald Trump!”.

The internet was quick to pick up on Sanders’ perceived discomfort, and rushed to quip about it.

Here’s what they are saying about Sanders’ endorsement of Clinton. Trump’s campaign is also trying to woo disgruntled Sanders supporters who are fed up with the establishment.

We found several Bernie Sanders supporters at the State Capitol who had mixed feelings about his endorsement.

“I am proud to be fighting alongside you”, she said.
