Pokemon Go: How to Get Your Monster-Hunting Basics Right
No one needs an internet connection to see the extent to which the new Pokémon GO app has taken over the lives of millions around the world.

For long time fans of the Pokemon games, players were given the choice of starting with either Charmander, Bulbasaur, or Squirtle.
“Just use common sense”, the post said, suggesting users “make sure your presence is well known”.
Players visit “gyms” where the creatures can be conditioned as combatants to seize such training facilities. Other players have reported bruised shins and even broken bones sustained when they were too absorbed in the game to pay close attention to their surroundings. They should also restrict where kids can capture Pokemon so they can keep track of their children, said Philadelphia Police spokesman Eric Gripp, according to the Christian Science Monitor.
But with so many people playing and with fixed points to visit, Bates said there has been an increase in groups gathering at Stops and Gyms.
“I didn’t go to some big tourist attraction; all I did was walk around for tens of kilometres to play a game”. Most of the time, this is perfectly legal, but city ordinances still apply. These are places where you can either train your Pokemon, battle other players, or pick up helpful supplies. It gives people another reason to take a new route to work or explore something new.
The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles has also issued a warning to drivers and pedestrians to be extra careful.
In some cases, armed robbers have used the geolocation features on the game to lure unsuspecting players to isolated spots. It is illegal in NY to use a mobile device while driving.
Game developers around the world watched in astonishment as “Pokemon Go”, a mobile version of the beloved 1990s game from Nintendo Co., became an instant hit – rocketing to the most downloaded app on both Apple and Android phones.
“I had heard of augmented reality games and never quite understood what that all meant until this game came out”, Roxanne Cook told AFP on Monday while hunting Pokemon in a San Francisco park during her lunch break.
Google also says that users should only grant this kind of access that users know is trustworthy.

There is one thing to note – you’ve probably heard about how the game has full access to your Google account if you signed into it on iPhone before an app update was released on July 12.
