These Are The Victims Of The Dallas Protest Shooting

On Tuesday, the bodies of the five Dallas police officers who were killed in last week’s shooting will be laid to rest.

Zamarripa, who would have turned 33 next month, was married with a 2-year-old daughter and 10-year-old stepson.

Patrick Zamarripa was a musician, a military veteran, a dad.

He lived an hour’s drive south of Dallas, in Corsicana.

He is the first officer from the division to be killed the line of duty since the department was established in 1989.

A Dallas Police Association magazine article in 2009 described Smith as conscientious and professional, an officer who cared so deeply that he would even dip into his own pocket to pay for his training if needed. The Washington Post reports that Ahrens died the hospital after his surgery.

The funeral for Michael Krol will be Friday in Plano.

Obama will seek to bridge those issues with his tribute to the fallen five, which include a former Army Ranger, a Navy veteran and a newlywed starting a second family.

The five officers killed by a sniper during a protest in Dallas have been named. “I want you to know that I was outside the window when you took your final breath”, he said.

Funerals will be held Wednesday for Dallas Police Sr. Cpl. “She was a police officer too”.

Ahrens was a great co-worker, sheriff’s Sgt. Anthony Gunn told CNN.

“She looked at me and she said, ‘Do you need go?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I do, ‘ ” he said. Johnston, who was raised in Dallas and now lives about 45 minutes outside the city, said she found herself crying over and over again Thursday night and Friday.

Officer Brent Thompson, 43, had served with DART police for seven years. “He spent time with his family”, Vanessa Smith, a friend of the officer’s wife, told The Associated Press.

Geron said he reported to a command post near the convention center, while others hunkered at El Centro Community College, where the shooter, later identified as 25-year-old Micah X. Johnson, had been spotted.

Ahrens quickly proved him wrong, Castro said, proving to be a dedicated officer whose goal was to move into the 3080 unit – a narcotics squad known for working the city’s most hard area.

Bishop Kevin Farrell of the Catholic Diocese of Dallas said on the diocese’s Facebook page that “My prayers continue to go out to all off the families affected by last night’s shootings in Dallas, including the Smith family”.
