Skrtel set to join Fenerbahce after completing medical
The Serbian worldwide has only made 19 appearances since arriving at the Reds, scoring just twice, and was played out of position for most of his involvement in the Premier League, and as a result was shipped out on loan to Turkish side Fenerbahce, where the youngster made just 14 appearances in an injury-plagued campaign.

Martin Skrtel is on the verge of completing his £5million transfer from Liverpool to Fenerbahce after the Turkish club confirmed he had passed his medical.
Skrtel has made 320 appearances for the Reds in eight seasons since joining them from Zenit St Petersburg in January 2008 but last term he appeared just 27 times in 63 games.
As he can play on either flank or behind the forward, he’d provide a handy squad option this coming season, and unless Sporting are offering very big money – we’d like Markovic to stay for one more season. I’m eagerly awaiting tomorrow as well. The transfer will likely be made official on Wednesday, though the club’s Twitter has already released pictures of the defender at the airport donning the Fenerbahce scarf. Also I spoke with [Slovakia team-mate] Miroslav Stoch and he told me attractive things about the club and city.
“Fenerbahce is a massive club and for these reasons I accepted this offer. Tomorrow we’ll complete the last step and I hope tomorrow I’ll become a Fenerbahce player officially”.

Jordon Ibe and Sergi Canos are also nearing Liverpool exits with the former saying his goodbyes at Melwood on Tuesday after agreeing a £15m move to Bournemouth.
