Microsoft Won’t Have A Media Briefing At Gamescom This Year
Microsoft will not be hosting a press briefing and Gamescom 2016, the company has revealed. The last time we heard about something like that was with EA Play but it’s likely that there won’t be a live-stream with announcements.

This news was announced by marketing executive Aaron Greenberg in an Xbox Wire post, but he did not provide any information on why Microsoft is skipping a briefing this year.
The annual gamescom show takes place August 17-21. We will be sharing more details on our gamescom 2016 Xbox FanFest soon.
So, plan on getting your hands on Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, Halo Wars 2, ReCore, Sea of Thieves, We Happy Few, Everspace and Cuphead if attending.
Microsoft went all out at E3, showcasing a strong line up of games for the end of 2016 and start of 2017, as well as announcing the Xbox One S and more powerful Scorpio hardware, which is slated for release at the end of next year.
For those attending, Greenberg also revealed that Microsoft’s Gamescom booth location has moved to Hall 8 in the Koelnmesse hall, near the north entrance. Xbox unveiled a new family of Xbox One devices, a host of new Xbox Live features and Xbox’s biggest games lineup ever on Xbox One and Windows 10.
