Son of slain Louisiana man speaks out for first time
Baton Rouge Police have arrested three suspects for burglary tied to an alleged plot to kill police officers.

According to investigators, four thieves broke into a Baton Rouge pawn shop on Saturday and stole eight handguns and a BB gun. However, officers say a fourth suspect in the burglary could possibly still be at large.
BRPD are still on the lookout for one more suspect – as well as the two remaining guns thought to be in his possession. “Look what happened in Dallas: a very peaceful protest, and some insane madman did what he did”.
Cell phone video of the shooting shows Sterling being tackled by a Baton Rouge police officer, then shot as he and his partner try to retrain him on the ground. “We had credible threats to the lives of law enforcement in this city”, Dabadie said. Three of the stolen handguns were allegedly found at his house, police said. And I want to thank everyone that are supporting us.
Sterling, a black man, was shot and killed by white officers last week.
Baton Rouge has faced days of protests on its own streets after the deadly police shooting of Alton Sterling in front of a convenience store last week. “Protest in peace, not guns, not drugs, not alcohol, not violence”.
A 13-year-old boy was arrested yesterday and booked with simple burglary and theft of firearm.
East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff Sid Gautreaux said that this threat is the reason for the show of force that has been the subject of those many questions and comments. His death, and that of Philando Castile in Minnesota, set off protests across the country and led to the fatal shooting of five cops in Dallas.
Police said they beefed up their presence in Baton Rouge due to the “very real and viable threats to law enforcement” in the area following the officer-involved shooting death of Alton Sterling last week, which has sparked dozens of anti-police brutality protests across the nation. Malik Bridgewater, 20, was arrested on Sunday and a third suspect, a 13-year-old boy, was detained in a street.
The teen son of Alton Sterling, who was killed by two Louisiana cops, spoke out for the first time Wednesday – calling his dad a good man and asking people not to protest with violence.
But tensions escalated at weekend protests that moved away from the store and into other areas of the city, with almost 200 people arrested and a show of force from law enforcement that included police wielding batons, armed with long guns and wearing shields.
Police said one of the suspects conceded he had planned the attack in response to Sterling’s death.

Law enforcement officials state that they have dashcam footage, body cam footage and store surveillance footage that will be used in the investigation and turned over to the Justice Department.
