The Asus ZenFone Max has a seriously huge battery

When listing a phone’s specifications, we don’t usually start with the battery, but we’ll make an exception in the case of Asus’s new ZenFone Max. That means you can connect a USB cable and use the phone to charge a tablet or a different phone.

Asus seems relentless in flooding the Indian smartphone market with variations of ZenFone 2 models.

The optics of the tablet are handled by a 5MP rear and a 0.3MP (VGA) front cameras. Dubbed Zenfone Max it comes with an ample 5,000 mAh battery that should give it extra long power autonomy.

The Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and has a new version of Asus ZenUI as well as it has a 3000mAh battery. Among them are the ZenFone Selfie, ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone 2 Laser and ZenFone Max. Which is pretty insane when you consider the Zenfone 2 only had a 3,000mAh battery inside. The device sports a 5-inch Full HD display. This model has a 5.5-inch (1080x1920p) LCD display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection, rear-positioned volume rocker and a curved body for comfortable grip similar to the Zenfone 2. Both the variants also have Corning Glass 4 protection. The Zenfone 2 Deluxe is priced starting at Rs 22,999, the Laser is sub-10k at Rs 9,999 and Selfie at Rs 15,999.

As always, the company has got the naming convention of its phone offerings all wrong, with each of the phones launched having at least two variants. The highlight of the phone is its 13-megapixel front and rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash. The Asus Zenfone Selfie comes with a 5.5-inch screen with a 1920×1080 resolution. Under the hood, it comes powered by an Intel Atom Z3580 processor which is dual core hyper threaded part, coupled with 4GB RAM.
