Joe Paterno to Sandusky Victim
The man, identified as John Doe 150, testified in a civil suit against the university in 2014 that Sandusky assaulted him in a shower when he was 14 and attending a Penn State football camp. In addition, the records reveal depositions of other accusers who say they reported the abuse to Paterno or members of his staff in the 70s and 80s as well.

“Specifically. Yes”, the man replied. “You’re not going to do anything else?'”
McQueary – who testified during Sandusky’s trial that he had seen Sandusky in a shower with a boy in 2001 – said he had discussed what he saw with Bradley, and Bradley, according to McQueary, was “not shocked” and said he “knew of some things” involving Sandusky. Sandusky was convicted in 2012 of assaulting 10 boys over a 15-year period and was sentenced to at least 30 years in prison.
Paterno died in 2012 and is still a beloved figure on campus with many defending his integrity.
Former Penn State assistant coach Kevin O’Dea denied an allegation he was aware of child sexual abuse by former Nittany Lion defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky. Among those are current coaches Tom Bradley of UCLA and Greg Schiano of Ohio State.
In a statement, Schiano said he “never saw any abuse, nor had reason to suspect any abuse” during his time at Penn State. “It also makes it much more hard for Penn State to create an environment where victims of sexual abuse feel comfortable coming forward and where students, faculty and staff feel protected in reporting wrongdoing”. McQueary also said that Bradley told him that Greg Schiano, in the ’90s, saw Sandusky in the shower with a boy.
Schiano worked under Paterno from 1990-1995.
According to the deposition made by Doe 75, Sarra apologized for walking into the room, left, and Sandusky kissed the boy on the forehead.
Other allegations included in unsealed depositions: that the late Penn State assistant Joseph Sarra allegedly witnessed Sandusky put his hand in a boy’s shorts in 1987.
A Vocativ overview of the comments on a popular Penn State message board finds what it calls “a case study in denial” with Paterno and Penn State supporters blaming the victims and the media for what they still consider a trumped-up scandal. “Then at some point they stopped questioning me and talked among themselves”.
Penn State President Eric Barron released a statement saying the university’s “overriding concern has been, and remains, for the victims of Jerry Sandusky”.
The university demands the insurance company compensate the school for the payouts but the insurance company countered that it should not pay because university officials systematically hid the allegations and never informed the insurance company of the looming issues with Sandusky’s behavior.

Therefore, instances of Sandusky’s alleged abuse that were witnessed by school employees (coaches) but not reported should take PMA off the hook for helping Penn State with the financials of the settlements.
