Hero Splendor iSmart 110 India launch price INR 53300
Christened Hero Splendor iSmart 110 with i3S (Idle Start and Stop System), it is the first motorcycle that has been fully developed in-house by the company since it parted ways with Honda. The new motorcycle is apparently the first product to be indigenously developed by Hero after its split with Honda.

The new motorcycle packs plenty of inputs from the company’s well-staffed R&D team at the Hero Centre of Innovation and Technology at Jaipur, lead by Dr Markus Braunsperger, CTO. Hero first showcased the Splendor iSmart 110 at the Auto Expo 2016.
Hero MotoCorp Limited has just launched the new Splendor iSmart 110 which gets a new chassis and engine. When this system is engaged and the motorcycle is in neutral, the engine automatically switches off to conserve fuel.
With their new motorcycle, the company has taken a huge leap in terms of technology and seems to be quite confident after developing a motorcycle on its own.
Powering the bike is an all-new 110cc, 4-stroke engine that is tuned to deliver nine per cent more power and six per cent extra fuel mileage as compared to that of the existing model. Price-wise, the Splendor iSmart 110 is likely to carry a price tag of Rs 55,000 (ex-showroom), slightly above the Splendor iSmart. This BS-IV complaint engine is capable of producing 9.4bhp along with 9Nm of peak torque.

The Splendor is well known in the two-wheeler commuter segment for its fuel efficiency figures and the same can be expected from the new Splendor iSmart 110, which is claimed to return over 80kmpl. There is 130mm drum brake up front while the rear will get an 110mm unit. Disc brake is not on offer even as option. Buyers can choose from four different colour scheme of Silver and Black, Red and Black, Blue and Black and Sports Red. It’ll also feature a new sporty analog-digital instrument console, black alloy wheels, refreshed headlamp and tail lamp and split rear body grab rails.
