Don’t mess with Spider-Man: Superhero fights back against New York heckler

This is not the first time a costumed Spider-Man has thrown punches.

According to Geoff Golberg, who recorded the incident with his phone, the man had been harassing the other performers, including Peter Parker himself. “They’ve notoriously had issues with him in the past”.

One bystander is seen kneeling close to the altercation so he can capture a selfie, all while Spider-Man frantically wrestles his opponent in the background.

But he met his match when a performer dressed as Spider-Man leapt to the rescue, wrestling the man to the ground.

There were no immediate reports of any arrests, and the hero behind the mask was not known.

A different costumed web-slinger said the heckler regularly hassles the panhandling characters and shouts racial slurs at them. The NYPD has no information of an arrest in the superhero smackdown caught on video.

The aspiring hip-hop artist from Brooklyn spent five days in jail before being released on $3,500 bail last July.
