Bride and groom feed 4000 refugees on wedding day

A Turkish couple had a wedding to remember as they fed 4,000 Syrian refugees during their celebration.

As per Turkish traditions, weddings ceremonies are spread over three days and culminate with a grand dinner for family and friends. The groom said, “Seeing the happiness in the eyes of the Syrian refugee children is just priceless”. “We started our journey to happiness with making others happy and that’s a great feeling”, the groom said. “I’m happy that we had the opportunity to share our wedding meal with the people who are in real need”, she said. “And afterwards she was quite amazed about it”.

The bride told the news site i100 that she at first was “shocked” by the idea.

The bride also gloated, “It was such a wonderful experience”. For many years, KYM has given food to thousands of Syrian refugees.

In total, there are four million Syrian refugees who had fled the country in what the UN described as the worst crisis of its kind in a generation.
