Durant will play his first game in Golden State’s arena since joining the Warriors on July 26 as a member of the US Olympic team against China in a warm-up contest for Rio.

But Durant didn’t believe that they wanted him until they sat face to face in that meeting.
“Those guys came in, it felt like they were hand in hand, and they just wanted to let me know how much I would fit in with their group personalitywise”.
Morris claimed there would have been a “fire inside” him to come back and beat Golden State next season.
So, what’s next? Seventy-four wins and a title? And at Thursday’s press conference, head coach Steve Kerr wished them well: “I want to say thank you to Andre Bogut, Harrison Barnes, Leandro Barbosa, Brandon Rush and Festus Ezeli”. We have experience dealing with it. We were the villains (in the Finals) so we will be more prepared. And we got it, and it was. We want to be better.
“You can’t do any better than adding KD to the current crew”, Kerr said. The All-Star addition means a lot of changes for the team.
“Obviously it’s tough because we were teammates for so long”, Durant said.
Durant might be able to match his coach’s wit, too.

The Warriors hope to follow the blueprint of the Miami Heat, who won two championships after signing LeBron James as a free agent to create a Big Three with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
Durant left the only organization he’s suited up for during a nine-year career, eight of which have involved Oklahoma City as a home base.
Not that Durant plans to skip town after one season. Don’t get us wrong; the four-headed offensive monster will be fun to watch, but it won’t make the Warriors the best offensive team in National Basketball Association history.

‘That call to Oklahoma City was the hardest thing I had to do in my life. “This was the hardest road because I don’t know anybody here”, Durant said.

‘It’s been hectic. A lot of attention comes with being in this position. We love people that love to play basketball. The guy that kicked Steven Adams in the groin essentially punched the rest of Oklahoma City in the stomach. “It’s the unpopular decision but I can live with it”.
