The records says that in year 1935, a lonely man from America wrote an amazing letter to mayor of that time for ‘good Irish colleen’.

Actually, the man whose name was Michael Davis wanted to share his journey of life that’s why he wrote a letter to the Belfast’s first citizen in a bid to find an “Irish colleen”.

He also mentioned his own conditions that how the girl should be like. He wrote “I hardly need to mention that the colleen must be Protestant, but, better it should be so stated”.
