Kell Brook’s fight with Gennady Golovkin ‘solves a problem’ for both fighters
This past week, Middleweight kingpin Gennady Golovkin announced that he would be heading to England to fight Kell Brook for his latest fight. “I’m not really too bothered about the size”. Brook readily accepted, and thus a surprise fight was made.

Triple G is considered the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world How can I purchase tickets? We’re getting results already and we’ve still got weeks to go.
Hall will take on Haskins on the undercard of Gennady Golovkin’s eagerly-awaited clash with the unbeaten Kell Brook at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday, September 10.
“If I’d worked with Paddy right through my career, who knows how good I might have been”, he said.
Golovkin (35-0, 32 KO) had hoped to face Canelo Alvarez in September, but Alvarez instead chose to vacate the WBC middleweight title, and will now be facing Liam Smith on September 17 for Smith’s WBO junior middleweight title. Murray was courageous and went 11 rounds with the man from Kazakhstan before the referee stopped the fight with 50 seconds left on the clock in the penultimate round. Brook said that he is actually looking forward to feeling Golovkin’s power.
This isn’t in anyway to suggest that I think Brook will beat GGG, but it’s not as insane a weight jump as many think. We’re going to shock the world on September 10.
Tickets go on sale on Friday for the history-making showdown at London’s 02 Arena.

Eubank Jr wished Brook all the best but also said: “A huge welterweight is not a middleweight”. I’m going to be frightening on fight night. With nearly all of the major Middleweight belts in Golovkin’s possession and the legions of fans flourishing by the day, it is the respect accorded Floyd, Oscar and Roy that is within his grasp yet, like Rodney Dangerfeld doesn’t get any. “GGG”, as he is known, has beaten two British contenders as of now in his vocation in Matthew Macklin and Martin Murray, yet Brook will be out to take his shelf as the world’s most dreaded warrior. Unlike most champions, Golovkin is taking a risk to fight where it makes the most sense – from both financial and marketing standpoints.
