This past week, Middleweight kingpin Gennady Golovkin announced that he would be heading to England to fight Kell Brook for his latest fight. “I’m not really too bothered about the size”. Brook readily accepted, and thus a surprise fight was made.

Hall will take on Haskins on the undercard of Gennady Golovkin’s eagerly-awaited clash with the unbeaten Kell Brook at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday, September 10.
“If I’d worked with Paddy right through my career, who knows how good I might have been”, he said.
Golovkin (35-0, 32 KO) had hoped to face Canelo Alvarez in September, but Alvarez instead chose to vacate the WBC middleweight title, and will now be facing Liam Smith on September 17 for Smith’s WBO junior middleweight title. Murray was courageous and went 11 rounds with the man from Kazakhstan before the referee stopped the fight with 50 seconds left on the clock in the penultimate round. Brook said that he is actually looking forward to feeling Golovkin’s power.
This isn’t in anyway to suggest that I think Brook will beat GGG, but it’s not as insane a weight jump as many think. We’re going to shock the world on September 10.
