Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge could play against Manchester United
After a season in which the Northern Irishman was forced to use the aforementioned Sterling as a striker with alarming regularity, he now has a wealth of options to lead the line, and although this is a real positive, news of Sturridge potentially returning in roughly a month’s time will throw up a real headache.

Having come close to lifting the title one year before thanks to an exhilaratingly attacking brand of football, Liverpool’s failure to cope with the departure of Luis Suarez and injury to Daniel Sturridge saw them struggle for goals last season.
It means there is a chance Sturridge could return to action when the Reds visit Manchester United in the Premier League on September. 12.
Sturridge has recently posted videos on social media showing himself in training.
There was an expectation that he would deliver the goods for the Reds last season, but unfortunately he wasn’t fit enough.
“No (specific) date or game is being put on when Sturridge can expect to line up for Liverpool again”, reported Dominic King of the Daily Mail, but the striker “is aiming to launch his season after the first worldwide break as he continues to make a smooth recovery from hip surgery”.
The striker then tore a hip muscle during Liverpool’s 2-1 Premier League defeat at home to Manchester United on March 22. Last season was agony for both the player and the club. Sturridge could join his Liverpool teammates in a full practice session before the end of the month, according to the reports.
