Mercedes-Benz unveils luxury golf cart
We’d be willing to bet the thought never crossed your mind. The German automaker describes the cart as “a real sports vehicle”.

Gorden Wagener, head of design at Daimler AG, said: “We have reinvented the world of the golf cart with our Mercedes-Benz Golf Car”. There are a set of thin LED headlights, dimpled front grille, curved windshield, and a small rear spoiler that also acts as a golf bag holder. Garia has already forged a name for itself as the purveyor of luxury-focused carts, so a partnership with one of the biggest names in German luxury is a no-brainer.
Noted as a “real sports vehicle”, the “Mercedes-Benz Style Edition Garia Golf auto we are offering a high-end golf cart which is absolutely unique and was specifically developed for sporting golfers and the sport they enjoy”, according to Marketing Vice President, Dr. Jens Thiemer. In this pursuit, the cart wears a low-slung profile, with a curvaceous, sculpted appearance. Up front, a Smart-esque fascia wears golf ball dimples, to “make the vehicle’s objective clear”.
If you’re looking for fancy features, the cart’s lousy with ’em. It’s not only for the looks because it also has a secret refrigerator compartment below the bench seat. Underneath the dash, the Mercedes-Benz Garia holds six golf balls in a neat little row, while “bottle holders” flanking each side of the binnacle. The interior and exterior have been fashioned with the best materials, from carbon fiber to wood decor and light-colored leather.
Tech-savvy players will appreciate the inclusion of an integrated high-resolution touchpad, which is capable of conveying information like the vehicle’s speed, power consumption or parking brake status.
Rolling duties aren’t too shabby with an 80km range from a single charge of the lightweight lithium-ion battery and a top speed of 30km/h.

Want one? Sorry, you’ll have to wait. Garia will gauge customer reaction, and plan accordingly.
