FL Vacation Home Of Dentist Who Killed Cecil Vandalized

That’s about all I completely understand about the incident that’s created a social media frenzy.

I also feel absolutely sick to know that the literally tens of thousands of dollars my family has paid him over the years – my braces, crowns for my parents, bridges for my grandmother, countless cleanings, fillings and tooth whitenings – has gone to fund animal-killing vacations. Palmer and his guides then tracked Cecil for about 40 hours before finishing him off with a rifle on July 1.

Pickled pigs’ feet and animal crackers were also strewn on the driveway of Walter Palmer’s $1.1m home, police in Marco Island, Florida, said. If so, was it actually killed on private land or in the no-hunting park?

The killing of Cecil, a wild lion in Zimbabwe popular with locals and tourists, was met by global outrage.

A professional hunter in Zimbabwe defended himself Wednesday against charges stemming from his role in the killing of a well-known lion known as Cecil, saying the accusations were frivolous and wrong. More like littering than protesting, really.

But I want there to be solid proof and I’d love to hear all sides of the story. Trophies of hunt dissected. All were delicious. Most winters our freezer holds a hundred or so vacuum-sealed “trophies”, too.

He told The Telegraph that he and Palmer were “devastated” upon discovering that Cecil the Lion was protected, and he reiterated that, “We would never shoot a collared animal”. In my opinion Palmer is wasting his money hiring a PR agency; the reputation he had, is all but a memory.

“Well the vandalism I think is ridiculous”.

He went at length to explain that lions in his village aren’t something loved and mourned over, but the cause for terror and fear for the safety of loved ones.

He called Cecil’s death “crazy, stupid” and down to “sheer greed”, but added: “We are going to have to be detached from the emotion and get on with the job”. As more information is revealed, Palmer is unlikely to be the only person whose reputation is forever changed by their actions.

It just seems as if people’s energies would be better spent working toward conserving lions (and other species), rather than attacking this one idiot dentist (whose career is probably ruined at this point anyway). Meanwhile in Zimbabwe, their wildlife minister is seeking extradition for Palmer since there is an extradition treaty between Zimbabwe and the United States.
