“There is going to be a spinoff from ‘Empire, ‘ without question”, he said.

She continued to go on and tell an anecdote from filming the season two premiere, “I went to video village and I’m like, ‘Guys what are we doing her?” “Probably 80 per cent is Cookie, and 20 per cent is Taraji…I’m not as bold as she is”.

Sophia Eggleston, 53, says she is the real-life Cookie Lyon – the featured diva on the show. “I’m gonna bury your album”, promises Jamal. “They’re constantly over at my house, I cook for them, making sure their head is right and they’re not getting lost in this thing called Hollywood”. “Defendants had access to and a copy of” her book”. “And then we became great friends”. Well, allegedly in 2011, Eggleston met with screenwriter Rita Miller in New Jersey to discuss shopping the book for the show with Daniels. “Because she thought he would do best with it”.

She claims the show tried to settle with her a few years ago, but she refused. “When you’re on that set that set life bleeds into”, she explained. Daniels says it was a way to keep star Terrence Howard in check: “I said he had ALS, because if he misbehaved… you know what I mean?”

Denzel Washington and Oprah Winfrey are some of the big names Daniels was reportedly pursuing for an Empire guest appearance, but he says he doesn’t want to distract from the show’s central focus: “The more stars I put on this show, the more it takes away from the family”.

There has been no response from the FOX Network’s public relations, but Miller has denied the allegations.

Taraji teamed her show-stopping dress with a pair of bronze sandals and a black and white striped box clutch, styling her long raven hair in curls and adding some red lipstick to complete her look. According to her, Lee Daniels is one of the people she first shopped the memoir to in 2011. Eggleston served prison time for putting a hit out on a man and later for violating her probation.
