49-year-old Christopher Hyndman was born in Ottawa but was raised in Newfoundland.
Hyndman, who starred alongside Sabados on the daily CBC-TV show “Steven and Chris”, died earlier this week at age 49.
The duo played up an odd couple persona that proved to be a winning formula – Hyndman as the joker, with the more straitlaced Sabados providing a more pragmatic eye. Hyndman joined the Sabados Group design company in 1992.
Tributes have popped up in Toronto following the beloved host’s death, including a memorial at the CBC head office. Detective Terry Wray has yet to disclose the identity or disclose further information, however, the Toronto police confirmed the discovery of the body. “And he was just like my best friend, my closest confidant, certainly my closest guy friend”. In the interview, Glenda Hyndman reveals her belief that “her only child fell to his death while sleepwalking on the terrace of his penthouse apartment”.
In an emotional phone interview with the Toronto Star from Moose Jaw, Sask., Glenda Hyndman said her son died in an “unfortunate accident”.
Toronto Police spokesperson Meaghan Gray is not confirming this, although she did imply that police do not suspect anything criminal or suspicious.
“Christopher was a sleepwalker, and he did that a lot”.

Glenda tells the Toronto Star that funeral plans have not been finalized. “It’s not good, but that’s his reality”.
