Attorney Corey Minor Smith says she’s officially representing Michigan State football playerJermaine Edmondson – who claims the National Basketball Association star attacked him outside of a bar early Sunday morning.
The police report is allegedly a lot different and points to a more serious accusation against Green. Edmondson claimed that he was “choked out” by two companions of Green, before his girlfriend was also choked by another companion.
The following night, Edmondson and Green crossed paths in Conrad’s Grill. The football player alleged that he went over to Green to talk to him about the previous night, before Green supposedly poked him on the shoulder and suddenly punched him across his jaw.
Since the arrest, Green has only briefly commented on the incident, responding to a question Tuesday at Fortune Brainstorm Tech conference in Aspen, Colorado, by saying, “I think when things happen, I think you meet them head on”.
Edmondson announced that he would be pressing charges against Green and that this case was far from over.
At the time of the fight, Draymond Green had a blood alcohol content of.10, according to the police report. “As a public figure, I just can’t put myself in certain situations”.
Broncos wide receiver and Michigan State alumnus Bennie Fowler told ESPN’s Marc Spears that he was with Green earlier that day, and that Green did not punch anyone that night.
