West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of winger Serge Gnabry from Arsenal on a season-long loan. I’m very happy that I’ve signed here.

Indeed, the German missed the majority of last season through injury, though he did manage to turn out for Germany Under-21s at the European Under-21 Championship this summer.

The 20-year-old made his debut for the Gunners in a League Cup tie against Coventry in September 2012 and has played 19 first-team games.

Gnabry certainly has all the credentials to become a top player and his move to West Brom looks set to benefit all the three parties involved.

West Brom manager Tony Pulis has been following Gnabry for some time and will hope that the youngster can make a major contribution to the team this season, now that he is fully fit. Going out on loan was always the best option, and staying in the Premier League is going to help him acclimate to the style of play.

Gnabry was purchased from Stuttgart for £100,000 back in 2011, slowly rising through the youth ranks to feature in Arsene Wenger’s plans.
