Pokemon Go underscores Nintendo’s rich characters, vision

Pokémon Go players use their smartphones to catch Pokémon characters and win points, and while playing, their phone’s Global Positioning System and camera identify the players location, to enable them to interact with their surroundings. Immediately shooting to the top of all charts within release, it has beat every other game that has been released in 2016 pretty handily.

Pokemon Go was launched in Germany before it was brought over to the United Kingdom where you should now expect to see young and old trainers trying to match each other out on the streets with smartphones in their hands. You can do this by going to settings.

The New York Times reports Niantic plans to take full advantage of its ability to flood any location on Earth with a horde of Pokéfans; the company’s apparently planning to let businesses pay to become PokeStops. In the US, where it is extremely popular, some people have injured themselves in pursuit of the monsters, falling or getting distracted while driving. But meanwhile, you can still download and play the game using the APK for Android.

While Nintendo had recently been struggling to keep up with the shift from consoles to smart phones, the value of the company’s iconic franchises, including “Super Mario” and “The Legend of Zelda”, has given investors visions of further smartphone riches.

For the new game, Nintendo has partnered with US-based developer Niantic and the Pokemon Company, which owns the rights to the characters. Yes the Pokemons- Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle and many more along with their adventurous journey through various leagues. If anything were to come close, however, it might be Pokemon, and by extension, Pokemon GO. It is as simple as downloading it and start playing once you create an account or login with Google.

That strategy foundered as the company posted losses in two of the last five fiscal years, hit by competition from smartphones and unfavorable exchange rates.
