From bomb-sniffing dogs to bomb-disposal robots, the city and nation is working to prevent any disruptions.

“That is a God-given right that shouldn’t be taken away by the RNC or any state”, she said. He attended his first convention four years ago in Tampa, where police patrolled on water and on land. “So we’re not going to change the wheel”, he said on Fox. “I’m really not expecting any problems”. Of course, without momentum coming out of the Rules Committee meeting the longshot effort to stop Trump at the convention has become even longer. “There should be absolutely no question as to who we vote for”, said Arizona delegate Bruce Ash.

Eric O’Keefe, a leader of the Delegates Unbound group that is also opposing Trump’s nomination, told BuzzFeed News that a plan was “in development” now that the conscience clause has been lost.

Trump’s campaign chairman Paul Manafort declared victory shortly thereafter. That panel’s initial votes are expected to demonstrate how firmly Trump and GOP Chairman Reince Priebus control the convention, which meets in full next week.

“Anti-Trump people get crushed at Rules Committee. If the delegates were bound as the RNC claimed why vote to bind them?”

The Trump campaign and RNC leaders wanted to avoid a public display of internal party strife at the convention, which they hope instead to choreograph as a show of unity behind their nominee.

Both sides agreed that the bargaining broke down over an effort by conservatives to provide extra convention delegates to states with primaries closed to independent and Democratic voters, many of whom flocked to Trump in this year’s voting.

A partial list of speakers released Thursday by the Republican National Convention committee was heavier on politicians and business executives, including Continental Resources founder Harold Hamm, PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel and Colony Capital founder Tom Barrack.
