Pokemon GO is a great game to play and kill time, but lacks some of the features that are present in the mainstream games and the TV series. Pokemon Go makes the bulk of its revenue by selling virtual goods as in-app purchases, but a sponsored locations program could add a huge second revenue stream if the app manages to maintain its popularity.

Investors – and gamers – are waiting to see when Pokemon GO will be launched in other major markets, particularly Japan, one of the world’s biggest gaming markets. “We do not have any announced plans for countries beyond New Zealand, Australia, US and Germany at the moment”, wrote Chris Kramer, Vice President of fortyseven communications in an email to IGN Asia.
The developer has also already issued a fix via the game update 1.0.1. iOS users can now download this update via the App Store. About 5.92% of whole US Android population are engaging with the game on daily basis. After building its reputation and earning the love of fans for the past 20 years, the publishers released a game on a platform nearly everyone has access to in 2016, that being smartphones, for free.
MALWARE: Be aware, a malware version of the game has been found online.
Nick Summers from technology site Engadget said the exploration aspect of the game should be praised, but should also come with a warning. The Japanese company introduced Pokemon during the late 90s. But what would it look like running on a dedicated augmented reality headset? Such updates remain to seen – and as some handsets experience problems with accessing the “augmented reality” feature due to the lack of a gyroscope, it is now unknown if the software will be simplified to allow full access to all users. “For younger players especially, the usual advice applies here – be careful where you go and who you talk to”.

For a player to get access to the game, an account is needed and people would usually opt to sign in with their Google account.
