United given deadline to tie up Pogba deal

Paul Pogba has hinted that he is open to moving to Manchester United this summer, describing his former club as “my first family” and refusing to commit his future to current club, Juventus.

Lukaku, who visited NY earlier this summer, also spent time with Pogba in Los Angeles where they partied at 1Oak nightclub.

Pogba – who left United to join Juventus in 2012 – is reportedly seen by United boss Jose Mourinho as a fundamental signing for the new season.

Meanwhile, over in Spain, Real Madrid have apparently ruled themselves out of the running to sign Pogba, with Sky Sports reporting Los Blancos’ withdrawal, citing the reason being that the eleven-time European champions are unwilling to pay the kind of transfer fee, wages and agents’ fees that United are putting up. It’s something I’ve wanted to do since I was little.

Nakrani reported United have been chasing the 23-year-old since Mourinho took control at the Theatre of Dreams and remain keen despite the Old Lady of Italian football slapping an £84 million valuation on Pogba’s talents. “After 10 training sessions I can say: “I love to work with these guys”, the Portuguese posted on his Instagram account.

When asked for his view on United after being shown a home shirt during an interview with ESPN at the ESPY awards, he joked “I don’t know them!” before adding “It’s my first family”.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move for the Frenchman they let leave the club on a free four years ago.

Agent Mino Raiola, who manages both Lukaku and Pogba, has already had a major impact on United’s summer dealing by playing a key role in Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s moves to Old Trafford. For the moment I’m at Juve and I’m happy.
