Michigan Bringing In Michael Jordan As Honorary Captain
Appearing on the Rich Eisen Show on Friday, U-M coach Jim Harbaugh revealed that Michael Jordan will serve as the Wolverines’ honorary captain for the 2016 season opener against Hawaii.

Believe it or not, the MI football team will get Nike’s Jordan Brand and will be the first football program to wear the “Jumpman” uniform.
I hate to even mention such a catastrophe, but just imagine for a second that MI loses to Hawaii in the season opener and sends the country into absolute chaos.
Covers Penn State and Big Ten.
MI finalized a deal with Nike in April for as much as $173.8 million, if a four-year option is exercised after the current 11-year contract.
On the show, Harbaugh also invited Esien to be the honorary captain for the game on September 10.

MI makes its return as a Nike school at that game and Jordan, who led the Bulls to six National Basketball Association titles and now owns the Charlotte Hornets, is one of Nike’s most famous endorsers. MI became the first football program to sign with the Jumpman brand, and will debut its new uniforms when the Rainbow Warriors come to town.
