Lloris in race to face United
Recently retired Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel has spoken out about Manchester United’s goalkeeping situation, with the David de Gea transfer saga still rumbling on in the background. The American worldwide said that Tottenham should not worry about losing Lloris to United.

Sergio Romero was signed, under the general impression that he would become number one upon the departure of David De Gea.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that Hugo Lloris is not fully fit to play against Manchester United.
“From my limited experience playing against David de Gea and speaking to him briefly after games, he seems like a really good guy and, if the transfer deadline comes and goes and he stays a Manchester United player, I think they will both be fine”.
After Johnstone, there is Anders Lindegaard and Victor Valdes.
The Spanish global has been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish capital club, with AS reporting that, Louis van Gaal has asked the Red Devils’ hierarchy to sanction the move.
The proposed move appeared to have stalled in recent weeks but the 24-year-old’s girlfriend has been quoted in the Mirror today as hinting that De Gea will eventually return back to his homeland before the transfer window slams shut. He is also the captain of the French national team with 65 caps to his name.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs would accept that sort of money but the newspaper suggests that the France No. 1 would jump at the chance of moving to Old Trafford if the two clubs could agree a fee. Lloris however suffers from a weak Spurs defence so that has prevented him from doing as well as he can do.
